Chocolate Workshops

Bread-Making Workshops

Learn the art of real artisan bread in a relaxed 3–4 hour workshop designed for beginners and home bakers.
Every class is hands-on, friendly, and full of practical techniques you can use again and again.

Chocolate Flower Sculpting Class – Trial Session

Discover a new side of chocolate making with our Chocolate Flower Sculpting Class, a creative workshop focused on structure, technique, and design — all taught in a relaxed, step-by-step way.

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to create a striking chocolate flower sculpture, using professional methods that look impressive but are carefully broken down to make them accessible to everyone.

This session is being run as a trial class, giving guests the opportunity to take part at a special introductory price before the workshop becomes a regular feature.

What the class covers:

  • Creating detailed chocolate leaves using transfer sheets

  • Shaping and forming chocolate petals

  • Building a support frame and understanding balance and structure

  • A short introduction to modelling chocolate

  • Assembling and finishing your chocolate flower

Each stage is demonstrated clearly, with guidance throughout,

so even those with no previous experience can confidently follow along.

Important information:

  • Price: £35 per person (trial session)

  • Duration: Approximately 2–3 hours

  • Location: Patisserie House, 17 Princess Dock Street, Hull, HU1 2LP

  • Experience level: No experience in chocolate sculpting is required. The class is best suited to people with an interest in practical, creative skills. 

  • What’s included: All ingredients, equipment, and your finished chocolate piece to take home

Please note: this workshop uses more chocolate and materials than our standard classes, so pricing may increase for future dates after the trial sessions.

Sugar Workshops – Coming Soon

We’ll soon be introducing sugar work classes at Patisserie House, focusing on the fundamentals of working with hot sugar in a safe, hands-on environment.

You’ll learn the basics of:

  • Cooking sugar to the correct stages

  • Pulling, pouring, and shaping sugar

  • Simple decorative techniques and finishes

  • Understanding temperature, timing, and control

These sessions will be practical, skill-based, and broken down step by step — perfect for anyone curious about sugar work or looking to build confidence with a new medium.
